About Us

Who we are

Established in 2002 and registered with the Ministry of Social Development (National ID number 2002011100004), Habitat for Humanity Jordan supports low-income families to access safe, decent and affordable housing. We are part of Habitat for Humanity’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region, working alongside teams in Egypt and Lebanon under one shared approach to housing.

Mission, vision and values

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Our vision is A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Focus on shelter

Housing is the foundation for health, dignity and opportunity.

Advocate for housing

We push for policies that expand access to decent homes.

Promote dignity

Families are partners in the solution, not recipients of charity.

Support sustainability

We build in ways that last, environmentally and financially.

Safeguarding

We are committed to the safety of everyone we work with

Habitat for Humanity has zero tolerance for abuse, exploitation or harassment. If you have a concern, we want to hear from it — reports are handled confidentially.

Diversity & inclusion

We work with families of all backgrounds, and we build teams and partnerships that reflect the communities we serve. Housing is a right — not conditional on who you are.

Frequently asked questions

We publish annual reports and financial statements — see the Reports section above — and every program follows Habitat’s global standards.

Yes — most build days need no prior experience, and we also welcome skilled volunteering in non-construction roles.
